Timothy Townsend

Timothy Robert Townsend of Fargo, North Dakota, died on Sunday, November 13, 2011, surrounded by family. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at 2 P.M. at Elim Lutheran Church in Clinton, MN. Visitation will be held at the Larson Funeral Home in Clinton Monday evening from 5:00 – 7:00 PM, and one hour prior to the service. Rev. Richard Larson will officiate. Music will be provided by Kathy Moberg.

Timothy Robert Townsend, the son of the late James and Bernice (Nelson) Townsend, was born March 27, 1960 in Minneapolis, MN. He grew up in the Graceville area and graduated from Graceville High School in 1978. Tim then moved to Fargo, North Dakota and was employed at Quality Meats.

Tim enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He loved doing many different activities including playing miniature golf, going to movies, the annual steam threshers reunion at Rollag, the Fargo air show, watching sports, and dining out with friends.

Tim was known as a giving person and even in death, his giving continues as his donation of organs and tissues will touch the lives of as many as 50 people.

Tim is survived by his siblings, James (Roberta) of Virginia Beach, VA; Gary (Linda) of Ingleside, TX; Janice Turner of Casper, WY; Stan (Deb) of Ruthton, MN; Ron (Suzanne) of Plymouth, MN, special friend Sheila Reski of Moorhead, MN; many nieces and nephews; and aunts and uncles.

Tim is preceded in death by his parents; paternal grandparents Albert and Cora Townsend, maternal grandparents Nels and Freda Nelson, and special companion Cathy Staples.
