Thomas Myers, Sr., of Ortonville, died on November 2, 2011. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at 11 AM at the Larson Funeral Home in Ortonville, MN. Visitation will be held at the Larson Funeral Home Tuesday evening from 5:00 A�A�A½ 7:00 PM, with a 7:30 PM prayer service, and also one hour prior to the service. Father Robert Goblirsch will officiate. Music will be provided by Pat Kunz and Scott Richards. Casketbearers will be Dennis Lindberg, Scott Richards, Chad Barnett, Allan Giossi, Jr, Wayne Benhoff, and Donald Myers. Honorary bearers are all of Tom's grandchildren.

Tom Myers was born in St. Paul, MN on August 28, 1948 to parents Dale and Lorraine (Kalbler) Myers. He attended school in Appleton, MN where he was the captain of the football team and he graduated in 1966.

Tom was united in marriage to Crystal Butzin on August 30, 1974. They were blessed with four daughters and one son.

Tom enjoyed many hobbies which included woodworking, building WWII models, and collecting samurai swords. He also enjoyed cooking and making sausage. However, his greatest enjoyment was spending time with his grandchildren.

Tom passed away on November 2, 2011, in Sioux Falls, SD. He had reached the age of 63 years.

Thomas is survived by his wife, Crystal; his son, Thomas, Jr. (Mary) of Watertown, SD; daughters Hope (Dennis) Lindberg of Strandberg, SD; Jennifer (Allan) Giossi of Big Stone City, SD; Rebecca (Scott) Richards of Watertown, NY; Mary (Chad) Barnett of Wahiawa, HI; 14 grandchildren; brothers Donald (Tina) Myers of Windom, MN; Ronald Myers of Bellingham, MN; and sister Joyce Card of Staples, MN.

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents and one granddaughter, Kaitlin Myers.
