Stella Hynnek

Stella joined her husband, Bill Sr.; daughter, Diane; and seven siblings on January 11, 2020.  She left behind her son, Bill Jr. (Char); daughter, Joni (Dan); son, Tom; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

Stella and Bill were married in August, 1948, in Ortonville where they resided for a few years before moving to Blaine, MN.

While living in Blaine, Stella remained active in St. Timothy’s Church, volunteering in the school library, and helping out where ever she could.  In addition to being a homemaker, she continued to grow by obtaining her driver’s license and her GED. She then sought and gained employment by Minnesota Title for several years.

When her husband became ill, she took care of him until his death in 1985.

She then sold their home of 30 plus years and moved back to Ortonville in 1996, where she lived with her son, Tom, until her health issues required her to moved into Fairway View Neighborhoods.  The family expresses thanks to all that sent cards, letters, and took the time to visit her there.

She will always be remembered for her kindness, compassion, great cooking, and her willingness to help those in need.

A celebration of her life will be held in the Spring of 2020, one the shores of Big Stone Lake, where she enjoyed some of the best days of her life.
