Shayne Linngren

Shayne Linngren, age 55, of Milbank, SD, passed away on Monday, July 10, 2023, at the Avera Milbank Area Hospital.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Shayne Michael Linngren was born on September 8, 1967, in Milbank, SD, to Michael and Anita (Hamblin) Linngren. Shayne attended school at Grant Deuel High School and graduated with the Class of 1986.

In 1993, his son Jared was born. Shayne was very proud of his son and his family.

Shayne was an over-the-road truck driver most of his life, working for various companies. He also worked for Bob Schultz, who became a close friend to him. Most recently, Shayne was employed by Schneck Farms.

Shayne would go wherever the wind would take him and he especially loved the ocean. If you knew Shayne, you would have considered him a professional heckler. He enjoyed giving people a hard time with a smile on his face. He was loved and will be missed by all who knew him.

Left to cherish his memory are his son, Jared (Joeni) Linngren of Spearfish, SD; grandson, Jextyn Linngren of Spearfish, SD; mother, Anita (Alan McFarlane) Homan of Wilmot, SD; sisters: Susan Hennen of Chicago, IL; and Tonya (Jeff) Ploeger of Breckenridge, MN; brother, Travis (Veronica) Linngren of Hammond, WI; along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Michael Linngren; infant brother; and his grandparents.
