Shannon Stotesbery, age 25 of Chokio, MN, peacefully passed away on January 27, 2023, at her home, surrounded by her fiancé, Brett, and her dog, Lucy. Her death was unexpected and due to complications of Addison’s Disease.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 2, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Mundwiler Funeral Home in Milbank. A prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. A private funeral service will be conducted. Burial will be at a later date at Consolidated Cemetery in Graceville, MN.
Shannon Rose Stotesbery was born on February 18, 1997, in Ortonville, MN. She was the daughter of Kelly and Patti (O’Connor) Stotesbery. Shannon attended school in Big Stone City through the eighth grade. She attended and graduated from Ortonville High School in 2015. She continued her education at Lake Area Vo-Tech for cosmetology.
Shannon was currently working for Conroy Eye Care in Milbank as the office manager. She loved her job and everyone she worked with. Shannon had an infectious personality and her family felt honored that she was a member of the family. She loved black and white buffalo plaid and it was evident as she decorated her home on her ten-acre farm site. She loved fashion and had a “girly” sense of style. She loved fiercely and never left “I love you” unsaid. She was excited to plan her future with her fiancé, Brett. She adored her nephew, Jackson, and loved all family events. She was an amazing cook and enjoyed sharing meals with her family. She enjoyed summertime with boating and swimming at the lake. She adored her golden retriever, Lucy. She also loved to dance!
Left to cherish her memory are her parents: Kelly and Patti Stotesbery of Big Stone City, SD; her fiancé, Brett Fuhrman of Chokio, MN; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Nicholas (Erin) Stotesbery of Hopkins, MN; and Taylor (Jackie) Stotesbery of Milbank, SD; one nephew, Jackson Stotesbery of Hopkins, MN; and her wonderful dog, Lucy. She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Wayne and Arlys O’Connor and Allyn “Stub” and Anniette Stotesbery; as well as other relatives.
