Ruth Mueller

Funeral services for Mrs. Ruth Mueller, age 77, of Milbank, will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 19, 2009, at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Alban Township, Grant County, South Dakota. Ruth died on Thursday, May 14th, at the Golden Living Center in Milbank. The Reverend Kim Kanitz will officiate. The organist will be Nancy Meyer. Family members are asked to meet in the church basement by 10:00 a.m. Tuesday to attend services. Visitation will be at the Emanuel-Patterson Funeral Home in Milbank on Monday from 5-7 p.m. and in the church Tuesday one hour before services. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Stacy Campbell, Jenna Buyck, Callie Mueller, John Schell, Melissa Mueller, Shane Skinner, Cody Skinner, Tony Pahl, and Alyssa Pahl. Active pallbearers will be Eric Mueller, Jeff Buyck, Tony Campbell, Paul Angerhofer, Mark Loeschke, and Clemens Marohl. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Ruth was born on October 23, 1931, in Milbank, SD, to Otto and Clara (Loeschke) Angerhofer. She attended rural school through the eighth grade in Alban Township, Grant County, SD, Ruth married Robert A. Mueller at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Alban Township on June 4, 1952. They farmed near Big Stone City, SD, until 1994 when they moved to Milbank.

She was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday school and where she was an active member of the ladies aid. Ruth was also a member of the Chat 'n Do Extension Club and was Secretary/Treasurer of the AAL chapter in Milbank for many years. She liked to sew, crochet, garden, make rugs, and canning.

Survivors include her husband, Robert A. Mueller; three sons, William Mueller and wife Raynelle, rural Big Stone City, SD; Warren Mueller, Sioux Falls; and Calvin Mueller and wife Sheila, Florence, SD; one daughter, Donna Schell and husband Charles, Salt Lake City, UT; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and two brothers, Alvin Angerhofer, Milbank, and Arnie Angerhofer and wife Carol, rural Milbank.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, George Angerhofer.
