Funeral services for Ross L. Temple, age 69, of Wilmot, SD, will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 6, 2006, at the Wilmot Lutheran Church in Wilmot. The Reverend Clara Wadsworth will officiate. Ross died on Thursday, May 4, 2006, at the Wilmot Care Center. The organist will be JoAnn Mickelson. Visitation will be at the church on Saturday one hour before services. Pallbearers will be Marlowe Vreim, Gordon L. and Jack Osterloh, Stephen Nielsen, Gary and Duane McDonald, Allan Cameron, and Delton Buttke. Burial will be in the Wilmot Cemetery. The Emanuel-Patterson Funeral Home of Milbank is in charge of the arrangements.
Ross was born on May 7, 1936, in Graceville, MN, the son of Alfred H. and Evelyn (Erickson) Temple. He attended country school in Lake Township, Roberts County, SD, through the eighth grade. Ross never married. He farmed all of his life with his brother Curtis until retiring at age 62. Ross was a member of the Wilmot Lutheran Church.
Survivors include one brother Curtis Temple and wife Joyce, rural Wilmot; one sister, Joanne Larsen and husband Larry, Oronoco, MN; four nephews; one niece; and thirteen great nieces and nephews.
Ross was preceded in death by his parents and twin brother Royce Temple.
