Roger M. Olson was born on December 30, 1926, in Graceville, Big Stone County, Minnesota to parents, Edward and Frieda (Oberg) Olson. Roger was baptized and confirmed in the Elim Lutheran Church in Clinton, MN. He grew up and attended Country School District # 58 near Graceville, MN. Following a few years of farming south of Graceville with his dad and brothers, Roger joined the United States Army. Following his honorable discharge he began work at the Foundry in the Twin Cities. After thirty years of service at the Foundry, Roger retired to the Fargo/Moorhead area before returning to Graceville a few years ago.
Roger passed away on Sunday, August 14, 2005, at the Holy Trinity Hospital in Graceville, MN.
Survivors include his one brother Milton Olson of Graceville; a few cousins; and a host of friends.
Roger is preceded in death by his parents and one brother Harold Olson.
