Roger Elmer was born on April 30, 1952 in Wheaton, MN to parents, Stewart and Edith (Bruce) Eldridge. Roger grew up on a farm north of Beardsley, MN. He attended school in Browns Valley, and graduated in 1971. Roger was a member of the National Guard from 1972-1978. Roger farmed with his father throughout his life until his health forced him to retire.
On May 02, 1997 Roger was united in marriage to Arlene Miller. The couple moved to Lake Traverse in 1998. Roger enjoyed fishing, woodworking, hunting, family gatherings, and cookouts.
On October 06, 2004 Roger E. Eldridge passed away at the Avera Hospital in Milbank, SD reaching the age of 52 years, 5 months, and 4 days.
Survivors include Roger's mother, Edith Eldridge of Browns Valley, MN; his wife, Arlene Eldridge of Browns Valley, MN; two step-daughters, Charlene (Brian) Miller of Peever, SD, and Karena (Ron) Neilan of Browns Valley, MN; two step-sons, Kent (Connie) Miller of Peever, SD, and Stacey (Sharla) Miller of Peever, SD; three sisters, Linda Roob of Breckenridge, MN, Kathy (Dick) Espeseth of South St. Paul, MN, and Patricia Fryer of St. Paul, MN; and one brother, Allen Eldridge of Maplewood, MN.
Roger was preceded in death by his father, Stewart; and one son, Brent.
