Funeral services for Roger N. Christensen, age 66, of Davenport, IA, and formerly of Milbank, will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 8, 2007, at the Emanuel-Patterson Funeral Home in Milbank. Reverend Eldon DeBoer of the Zion Community Church in Wilmot, SD, will officiate. Roger died on Wednesday, October 3, 2007, at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf, IA. The soloist will be Sherry DeBoer accompanied by Jan Liebe. Visitation will be at the Emanuel-Patterson Funeral Home in Milbank on Monday one hour before services. Burial will be in the Milbank City Cemetery.
Roger was born in Milbank, SD, the son of Arnold and Ermina (Gauger) Christensen. He served with the U.S. Army. In November 2006 he married Linda M. Clemons in Sioux Falls, SD. Roger owned and operated Roger's Mobile Wash, Inc., in Davenport for thirty-five years. He enjoyed his "Hobby Farm" and hunting.
Survivors include his wife, Linda; two sons, Jeff Christensen and wife Greta, LeClaire, IA, and Doug Christensen, Bettendorf, IA; four stepsons, Brian Clemons, Phoenix, AZ, Scott Clemons, Bettendorf, IA, Mark Clemons and wife Melissa, Davenport, IA, and Darren Clemons, Phoenix, AZ; three granddaughters, Shelby, Sierra, and Samantha; four step-grandchildren, Brittney, Alex, Jessica, and Justin; four sisters, Juanita Larson, Woonsocket, SD, Peggy Baxter, Fredericksburg, VA, Gloria Sprung, Hartford, SD, and Connie Andersen, Fredericksburg, VA; and two brothers, Don Christensen, Sioux Falls, SD, and Lowell Christensen, Milbank, SD.
