Robert B. Wiese the son of Albert and Agnes (Mazurek) Wiese was born May 3, 1937 in Appleton, MN. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Johns Catholic Church of Appleton, MN. He grew up on a farm north of Correll, MN helping his father with the farm work while he attended and graduated from Appleton High School in 1955. He then went on to the University of Minnesota for two years of agricultural college.
Robert was united in marriage to Yvonne Semmler on February 15, 1958 at EUB (Tabor United Methodist Church) in Big Stone City, S.D. They made their home north of Correll, MN, where they farmed and had a dairy for a number of years.
Robert was also employed with Alchem Ethanol Plant in Grafton, N.D, Morris Ag Energy Ethanol Plant in Morris, MN, and Prairie Correctional Facility of Appleton, MN. He helped his son, Dick, with work projects and most recently he helped his son-in-law Rick with field work.
Robert’s main interest in life was taking care of his family. He also enjoyed taking care of his farm site, gardening, feeding his cats, cooking meals on Sunday for all the kids, and most of all spending time with his family. The grandchildren loved his joking around. He had a kind and caring nature that will be missed by his family and friends.
Robert died Sunday, January 10, 2010, at his home; he had lived to reach the age of 72 years. He will be missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Yvonne of rural Correll, MN; children, Beth (Richard) Guse of Correll, MN, Richard Wiese of Correll, MN, Alison Wiese of Ortonville, MN; four grandchildren, Ryan (Natalie) Guse, Brandon Guse, Steven Guse, Mackenzie Moen; and two sisters, Betty (Robert)Goff of Blooming Prairie, MN, Beverly (James) Mrozek of Bloomington, MN; nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Agnes; infant son David.
