Robert Gregory Olsrud was born on August 30, 1941 to parents Phillip and Mae (Smithwick) Olsrud in Graceville, MN. He grew up in Graceville along with his three brothers; Frank, John, and Joe, and sister, Phyllis. Robert attended Graceville High School through the eleventh grade and later earning his GED. He joined the Army, faithfully serving his country for three years.
Robert was a kind and loving father who was always there for his daughter, Sue, when she needed him. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing cards and amusing those around him with his sense of humor. Robert was his own man and truly a free spirit.
Robert passed away on Monday, October 16, 2006 at his home in Ortonville, MN. He is preceded in death by his parents, Phillip and Mae (Smithwick) Olsrud; former wife, Dorothy; brother, Frank; and sister, Phyllis.
Robert is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Sue and Dan Mohawk of Mound, MN; and brothers, John Olsrud of Sioux Falls, SD and Joe (Ceclia) Olsrud of Laverne, MN; as well as many cousins and extended family and friends.
