Richard "Bum" Isadore Campion was born on April 04, 1946 in Graceville, MN to parents Joseph and Rose Joan (O'Leary) Campion. Richard grew up near Dumont, MN on the family farm. He attended Dist. 18 Canby School and Wheaton High School. After high school he went to Salinas, CA where he worked at Thermo-King Refrigeration. On March 26, 1965 Richard married Judy Geyer in Salinas, CA.
Richard was transferred to Minneapolis, MN with Thermo-King in 1969. In the Early 1970's he worked in the oil fields in Texas, New Mexico, and Wyoming. Around 1990, Richard moved back to Brandon, MN where he was a mechanic and worked odd jobs.
On January 28, 2005 Richard Campion passed away at his home in Brandon, MN.
Richard is survived by two sons, Kieran Richard (Patricia) Campion of Grand Junction, CO, and Raymond Joseph Campion of Waldon, CO; one daughter, Laura Catherine Duis of Waldon, CO; eight brothers, Joseph (Sandra) Campion of Monticello, MN, John Daniel (Barb) Campion of Egan, MN, Thomas Anthony Campion, Edmond (Ruth) Campion of Fergus Falls, MN; Patrick (Julie) Campion of St. Cloud, MN; Kieran Campion, Barry Campion of Anchorage, Alaska, and Claude (Mary) of Rice, MN; six sisters, Mary Ellen Campion of Buffalo, MN, Claire Campion-Terryil of Shafer, MN, Cecilia Cathy of St. Cloud, MN, Cathy (Jim) Riley of Starbuck, MN, Bernadette Campion of St. Cloud, MN, and Rose Mary Sanderson of Wadena, MN; four grandchildren Ryan, Tarra, Jacob, and Jessica.
Preceded Richard in death were his parents; one niece Tiffany; aunts, uncles, and cousins.
