Phillip A. Carlson

Phillip Carlson, age 70, of Roslyn, SD, passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at Strand-Kjorsvig Community Rest Home.

No services will be held, per Phillip’s request. 

Phillip Austin Carlson was born on January 16, 1952, in Clay Center, KS, to Fred and Dorothy (Madsen) Carlson. Phillip graduated from high school and took some college classes.

Phillip honorably served in the United States Navy from 1970-1974, and again from 1981-1985.

Phillip lived in Florida for a time before moving to Las Vegas and working as floor staff at the casinos.  He then moved to Watertown and worked as a cashier at Walmart.  Phillip lived at Helping Hand Assisted Living for a time before moving to Strand-Kjorsvig Community Rest Home in Roslyn.

In his leisure time, Phillip enjoyed drawing and reading.

Phillip is survived by his cousin, Lori (DeAllyn) Christensen of Florence, SD; his half-brother, Ron (Terry) Carlson of Wamego, KS; and many cousins.

Preceding him in death were his parents: Fred and Dorothy Carlson; and his brother, Jack.
