Mitchell Roy "Slick" Henningson was born on January 27, 1984, to parents Milton and Linda (Stanley) Henningson at the Arlington Hospital in Arlington, MN. He was baptized and confirmed at Peace Lutheran Church in Winthrop, MN. Mitchell attended the Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop School graduating with the class of 2002. Following graduation Mitch worked at various businesses in the Winthrop area including Lances Repair, Bussler Construction and Hacker Construction. He also enjoyed running his own business "Stoplight Repair."
As a young boy Mitchell found a love for cars and trucks and enjoyed mudding through the mud pit on the farm. When he grew older his love for cars and trucks didn't change and he could usually be found working on his "mudder trucks," and fixing cars with his brother . Mitchell also enjoyed the outdoors, cherishing the time he spent hunting ducks, pheasants, and deer with his dad, brothers, and friends. "Slick" had a smile that could light up a room full of people and he was never afraid to talk to anyone. He had great pride and joy in his big pickup and his "Snap-on" tool chest. Mitch also enjoyed playing with his niece and nephew and spending time with friends. In October 2004, Mitch moved to Ortonville, MN and began working for Hasslen Construction. He loved living on his own on Grandpa's farm.
Mitchell passed away on Thursday, November 11, 2004 at the Ortonville Hospital in Ortonville, MN, as the result of a car accident. He had reached the age of 20 years, 9 months, and 15 days.
