Miranda Lynn Koepke, age 28, of Milbank, SD, passed away on July 22, 2023, as a result of a vehicular accident.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Milbank. Rev. Chris Davis will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at a later date.
Urn bearers will be her father and brothers: Michael Lewno, Matthew Lewno, Ben Lewno, and Isaiah Lewno.
Miranda Lynn (Lewno) Koepke was born on May 15, 1995, in Watertown, SD. She was one of twin babies born to Lynn Berthiaume and Michael Lewno. Miranda was baptized into the Catholic faith. She spent her early childhood in Milbank and later moved to the Twin Cities area. She was a 2014 graduate of Anoka High School.
After graduation she moved to Milbank and met the love of her life, Tyler Koepke. They were united in marriage on September 28, 2016, in Milbank. Miranda and Tyler’s greatest blessings were their three beautiful daughters: Sophie, Scarlett, and Summer. The girls and Tyler were her whole world.
Miranda enjoyed spending time at the park with the girls, driving around, and looking at Christmas lights in the winter. She loved capturing special moments. proven by the thousands of pictures on her phone. She loved organizing, decorating their home and outfitting her girls with the cutest things. One would often find her listening to music. She was a fan of all things tie-dye and Harley Davidson.
Miranda Koepke is survived by her three daughters: Sophie, Scarlett, and Summer Koepke all of Milbank, SD; her parents: Lynn Berthiaume of Anoka, MN and Michael Lewno of Milbank, SD; siblings: her twin brother, Matthew (Cheene) Lewno of Ramsey, MN; Ben (Phally – pronounced Polly) Lewno of Ramsey, MN; Michelle Lewno (and fiancé, Dustin Schafer) of Revillo, SD; and Isaiah Lewno (and fiancé, Madisen Salonen) of Anoka, MN; her paternal grandparents: Gerald and Arlene Lewno of Stockholm, SD; maternal grandmother, Marge Berthiaume of Anoka, MN; father-in-law, Garold Lars Koepke of Stockholm, SD; brothers-in-law: William Koepke of Stockholm, SD; and Austin (Brittney) Koepke of Brookings, SD; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
Miranda was preceded in death by her husband, Tyler on June 4, 2023; one brother, Tyler Lewno; her maternal grandfather, Archie Berthiaume; and her uncles: Timothy and Randy Berthiaume and Curtis Lewno.
