Funeral services for longtime rural LaBolt, SD, resident, Mrs. Mildred G. Larson, age 92, of Stockholm, SD, will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, November 24, 2006, at the LaBolt Covenant Church in LaBolt. Pastor Mark Chapman will officiate. Mildred died on Monday, November 20, 2006, at the Golden Living Center (formerly Beverly Healthcare) in Milbank. Family members are asked to meet in the church basement by 10:00 a.m. Friday to attend services. The pianist will be Verla Peterson and the soloists will be Mark Seaquist and Nancy Nelson. Anna Larson will play a piano solo. Visitation will be at the Emanuel-Patterson Funeral Home in Milbank on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 23, 2006, from 3-5 p.m. Visitation will continue in the church on Friday one hour before services. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren: Susan Gonzales, Vicki Stewart, Carolyn Hartleip, Dave Larson, Nancy Seaquist, Dan Larson, Deb Christensen, Wayne Larson, Pam Nelson, Valerie Drombrowski, and Larry Schultz. Burial will be in the LaBolt Cemetery.
Mildred was born on March 21, 1914, at Stockholm, SD, the daughter of Fred and Agnes (Christensen) Steffensen. She attended school in Stockholm. Mildred was united in marriage to Lloyd D. Larson on February 18, 1932, at Watertown, SD. Following marriage, the couple farmed two miles south and one mile west of LaBolt. Her husband Lloyd died on November 27, 1973. Mildred continued to live on the farm until moving to an apartment in Stockholm in January 2001. She resided there until entering Beverly Healthcare in Milbank on October 6, 2006.
She was a member of the LaBolt Covenant Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Vernice Schultz, and her husband Harold, rural Stockholm, SD, and her son, Cecil Larson, and his wife, Joyce, rural LaBolt, SD; eleven grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren; five great, great grandchildren; and several step great grandchildren and step great, great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lloyd, two brothers, and four sisters.
