Marlys Redepenning

Marlys was born on September 26, 1930 in Waubay, SD a daughter of Max and Mabel (Scheff) Seefeldt. She was rasied on the family farm and attended country school. Marlys was confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Walter Township. She was united in marriage on September 17, 1955 to Edgar Redepenning by Pastor C. R. J. Witte. Marlys was a devoted farm wife, helping with what ever she could. Edgar and Marlys were blessed with three children: twin sons, Jerry and Jeffrey and daughter, Debra.

Marlys was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Walter Township. She enjoyed gardening and canning. She cared for all the dogs and cats that lived on the farm through the years. Marlys had a great sense of humor, but above all she loved being a mother and grandmother.

She died on Saturday, July 5, 2008 at the Ortonville Hospital having lived to reach the age of 77 years.

Marlys is survived by her son: Jerry (Ruth) Redepenning of Ortonville, MN; daughter: Debra Redepenning of Madison, MN; daughter-in-law: Robin Redepenning of Big Stone City, SD; four grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; brothers: Roger Seefeld of Dawson, MN and Marvin Seefeld of Madison, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents: Max and Mabel; husband: Edgar in 1982 and son: Jeffrey

Honorary Pallbearers for the service will be Marlys’s grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
