Marianne Fuhrman

Marianne Fuhrman, age 82, of Graceville died Sunday, December 28, 2014, at Grace Home in Graceville.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 3, at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Johnson, MN with Rev. Eugene Andrus officiating. Burial will follow in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Johnson. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the time of service at the church on Saturday.

Marianne Fuhrman was born on January 21, 1932, in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, to Ernst and Franziska (Stolz) Hof. She was united in marriage to Donald Fuhrman on August 29, 1953. To this union, Marianne and Donald were blessed with two children: Ernst and Franziska.

Marianne loved to garden, paint, and knit. She was a great cook and enjoyed sharing this talent with her friends and family. She took pleasure in traveling, flowers, and visiting with her many friends. Marianne also loved the years she spent working as the Director of Activities at the Grace Home. Still, Marianne's greatest passion in life was her family and she adored spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Marianne was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Johnson, where she enjoyed participating in the Ladies Aid, as well as the church choir and art club.

Marianne is survived by her husband, Donald Fuhrman of Graceville; son, Ernst (Pam) Fuhrman of Winnebago, MN; daughter, Franziska (Ken) Harris of St. Paul, MN; five grandchildren: Angela Kleiman, Zachary Fuhrman, Olivia Harris, Isaac Harris, and Elizabeth Garcia; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
