Mardonna “Mardy” (Lundberg) Knip, age 74, of Ortonville, MN, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 19, 2009, at her home surrounded by her family.
Mardy enjoyed her family, life at the cottage and visiting with friends over endless cups of coffee. “The pot was always on.” Her hard work and pride were demonstrated in how she cared for her home, yard, gardens and lake cabin. She was also very proud of her career in nursing. Mardy’s sharing spirit will live on in the many memories of her wonderful carmels, Chex Mix and homemade Irish Creme.
Mardy is and will always be greatly missed.
She will be laid to rest with her husband Robert in Mound Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, her family would appreciate memorial gifts be given in her honor to either Rice Hospice Care or Ortonville Mound Cemetery.
She is survived by children: Matthew, Dan (Brigitte Schiller), Jeanette (Tom) Dew, Allyson (Scott) Unzen and Joel; grandson Hayden; brother, Roger (Ann) Lundberg; sister, Mary Austin; brother-in-law, Jack (January) Knip; 10 nieces and nephews and other family and many friends, and including foreign exchange student Job De Geyter of Ghent, Belgium.
