Lois Lorange

Funeral services for Lois Lorange will be held on Saturday, March 5, at 11:00 a.m. at First English Lutheran Church.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at the church.
Rev. David Tonn will officiate. Urn bearers will be Lois' grandchildren and honorary bearers will be all Lois' friends. Burial will be in Mound Cemetery.
Lois Mae Lorange, the daughter of Vernon & Margaret (Balder) Smith, was born November 14, 1925, in Minneapolis, MN. She grew up in the Jackson, MN area and later moved to Windom, MN, graduating from Windom High School.
On October 16, 1949, Lois was united in marriage to Lloyd Lowell Lorange. The couple had met while working together in the J.C. Penney shoe department. They were blessed with three children, Kathy, Karla and Paul. She dearly loved the time she was able to spend with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Lois truly was a homemaker and loved every minute of it.
Lois will be remembered for her sweet and honest personality. She loved having company over and enjoyed coffee with her girlfriends every week. Lois loved sweets and always had some sweets stashed away somewhere for herself and anyone that came to visit. Milkshakes were a part of everyone's balanced meal when visiting Lois. She was a member of First English Lutheran Church, where she was involved in Circle, Day of Love, Altar Guild, and loved working with the youth. Lloyd and Lois had wonderful times traveling, dancing, and playing cards with great friends. Lois loved life, and loved being surrounded by friends and family.
On February 29th, 2016, Lois passed away peacefully at 90 years of age at Northridge Residence in Ortonville, MN, surrounded by family.
Lois is survived by her daughter, Karla (Dan) Beutler of Washburn, ND, son, Paul (Connie) Lorange of Otsego, MN, and son-in-law, John McCallum of Fergus Falls; grandchildren, Erin (Josh) Tysver, Rachel (Phillip) Samuelson, Grace McCallum, Jason Beutler, Jamie (Amanda) Beutler, Justin (Abbey) Beutler, Jordan (Brittany) Beutler, Alex (Allison) Pederson and Blake Pederson; great-grandchildren, Titus, Quinn, Aidan, Harper, Emery and Eli; and brother, Dale Smith of Santa Barbara, CA.
Lois is preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and Margaret; husband, Lloyd Lorange; and daughter, Kathy McCallum.
