Lisa Miller, 57, of Milbank, SD, passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2025, in Milbank, SD.
Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Milbank, SD. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Private inurnment will be held at Dell Rapids Cemetery in Dell Rapids, SD.
The service will be livestreamed and recorded and will be viewable at the bottom of this page.
Lisa Joann Miller was born on September 25, 1967, in Roseville, MN, to William “Bill” and Anita (Bogue) Forman. She was baptized and confirmed in her faith. Lisa attended school and graduated in 1985. She went on to earn her bachelor’s degree from a university in Moorhead, MN, and later obtained her master’s degree in Speech Pathology from the University of Wisconsin in Eau Claire. Lisa dedicated her career to helping others, working at Emanuel Lutheran. Most recently, she was continuing her education to become a deaconess, deepening her commitment to her faith and service to others.
Lisa married Thomas Sharp, and together they were blessed with two children, Lewis and Julie. In 2017, she married Eric Miller. In addition to her devotion to her family and career, Lisa had a love for traveling and found great joy in exploring new places. She also had a passion for singing. Lisa’s greatest joy in life was her children. She was a constant source of comfort and support, always making them feel welcomed and at ease. Her unwavering love for her children was evident in everything she did, and she remained their steady source of strength and guidance.
She is survived by her children: Lewis (Kierstin) Sharp of Mauston, WI; Julie Sharp of Roseville, MN; her first grandchild due in September; and her brother, Scott Forman of Wisconsin. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Anita; and her husband, Eric Miller.
