Linda Claassen

Linda Claassen of Morris, MN, died on June 6, 2019, at St. Cloud CentraCare Hospital.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, June 11, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Morris. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the Mass on Tuesday. Burial will be at Graceville Consolidated Cemetery on Thursday, June 13 at 7:00 p.m.

Linda Ann Claassen was born on October 17, 1971, to Jim Claassen and Pam (Griffith) Williams in Auburn, WA. She attended school and graduated from high school with her class in 1989.

Linda loved movies and music. She had an extensive collection of DVDs and VHS tapes. Some of her favorite things were puppies, babies, and attending dances. Linda loved to go bowling, doing word finds and puzzles, and riding horses. Spending time with her family and celebrating her birthday gave her the greatest joy. Linda made friends easily and loved to spend time with them. Swimming at Mom and Bob’s pool was a highlight of her summers. Linda participated in Special Olympic and proudly showed off her ribbons. She loved her daily routine attending the DAC and was especially proud of the work she did in the carwash.

Left to cherish her memory are her parents: Jim (Liane) Claassen of Chokio, MN; and Pam (Bob) Williams of Beardsley, MN; brothers: Thomas (Kelly) Claassen of Chokio, MN; and Lucas (Kara) Claassen of Herman, MN; special friend, Arden Frank of Starbuck, MN; cousins: Tiffany Thorstad and her sons of Osakis, MN; Kristi (Brian) Werner and family of Lamberton, MN; and Justin (Stacy) Koehntop and family of Miltona, MN; several aunts and uncles; and her many friends at the Stevens County DAC.

Linda was preceded in death by her grandparents: Bill (Meta) Claassen and Thomas (Deloris) Griffith; special uncle, Roger Griffith; special aunt, Betty Voytoski; cousin, Tammy McNally; and many other uncles and aunts.
