Lillian "Lil" V Tubbs, age 79, of Plymouth, formerly of Ortonville, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, January 11, 2014.
Mass of Christian Burial, celebrating Lil's life, will be held on Saturday, January 18th, beginning at 1 p.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Chokio, MN, with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery.
Born in Chokio, MN on February 3, 1934, she was the daughter of Elmer and Edith (Ritter) Anderson. Lil lived in Plymouth for most of her adult life, helping to raise her two grandchildren. She was a very proud grandma and for the past 30 years had devoted her life to them. Lil worked as a cook at Cargill Headquarters. Lil's motto was "If there is room in your heart there is room at your table." Her table was often surrounded by family, friends, neighbors and her grandchildren's friends. She was an amazing cook and used cooking as a way to express her love.
Lil was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.

Lil is survived by her loving family: daughter Kathleen Hancock; granddaughter Jessica (Matthew) Marsolek; grandson Adam Hancock; brothers: Ken (Beth) Anderson and Gene (Sharon) Anderson; sisters: Irene (Bill) Carlson, and Mary (Norman) Anderson; and numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews.
