Leo Paul Prisinger was born on June 15, 1931, at Milbank, SD, the son of Antone and Annie (Meier) Prisinger. He attended Geneseo No. 3 country school through the eighth grade. Leo was united in marriage to Edna Bohlen on June 28, 1953, at Corona, SD. Following marriage, the couple farmed in Geneseo Township for ten years. They then moved to their present farm in Melrose Township, Grant County, SD. Following farming, he owned and operated his own truck and was an independent trucker for a year. Leo then did road construction on I-90 between Mitchell, Chamberlain, and White Lake, SD. He then worked for Sterner's Industries of Winsted, MN, for sixteen months installing dairy equipment. Next, Leo drove truck for Ivan Pratt. In 1968 he went to work for Valley Queen Cheese Factory in Milbank. He retired in 1991 as maintenance supervisor.
He was a member of the Emanuel Lutheran Church in Milbank. Leo will not only be missed by his family and friends, but by all who knew him, and who always enjoyed associating with him and his cheerful disposition, wholesome jokes, and general good spirit that always radiated good will and cheerfulness. In this respect, Leo seemed to never grow old.
