Kristine Marie Lagred

Kristine Lagred, age 50, of Ortonville, MN, passed away on June 11, 2023.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 16, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. at Mundwiler Funeral Home Chapel in Milbank. Visitation will be held Thursday evening at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and will continue on Friday, one hour prior to the service. Pastor Nathaniel Brown will officiate. Honorary bearers will be all her many friends. Burial will take place at a later date at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Bellingham, MN.

Kristine Marie Lagred was born on February 17, 1973, in Ortonville, MN. She was the daughter of Stanley Bruce Koeckeritz and Marie Loretta (Karels) Koeckeritz. Kristine grew up in the Bellingham, MN, area. She attended school in Bellingham and graduated from Bellingham High School with the Class of 1991. Following her education, Kristine worked a variety of jobs, including cooking, waitressing, and bartending. She was united in marriage with Andy Lagred on June 21, 1997, at Scandia Lutheran Church, rural Glenwood, MN. They made their home in Benson, MN.

Kristine and Andy moved to the Rosen/Bellingham area in 1997. They were blessed with a son, Jon, born in 1998. Kristine continued to work and eventually stayed home to raise Jon. She moved to Ortonville, MN, in 2003, and has since resided. In 2015, she met Andy Anderson and enjoyed their relationship.

Kristine had a huge heart and always put others needs in front of her own. She was a member of the Pink Ladies team and served on the Big Stone County Fair Board for many years. She had a huge love for photography and especially enjoyed photographing demolition derbies. She and Andy enjoyed hunting Poke-Mon. She was an extremely talented billiard player. Kristine and her aunt, Kay Karels, sold sweet corn every year. She was known as the “sweet corn lady.” She had many dear friends and she always had their best interests in mind. They will sincerely miss her and she will never be forgotten.

Kristine is survived by her son, Jon Lagred of Ortonville, MN; her mother, Marie Koeckeritz of Ortonville, MN; her boyfriend, Andy Anderson of Ortonville, MN; her ex-husband, Andy Lagred of Clarkfield, MN; many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Stanley; and her grandparents.
