Juanita Moberg

December 12, 1946 — July 31, 2010

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Clinton Depot, the Clinton Assisted Living and the St. Pauli Church.

Juanita Kathleen Weinman was born on the 12th day of December in 1946. She was born and raised on a small farm with her parents George and Ruth (Steen), as well as an older sister Ramona and an older brother Gerald. She loved to help her Dad, George, with the care of his calves. She followed her dad everywhere.

Early in the 2nd grade, she fell in love with the “love of her life”, Bill Moberg. There is a yearbook around from that year with Bill’s head missing in the shape of a heart. On April 18th, 1970, they were married. Soon thereafter three boys: Mike, Dan and Jason and a daughter Sarah, arrived.

Nita was a gifted nurse and mother. For many years, she worked at the hospital and after she was an active farm wife, helping in the barn and in the fields. She spent a lifetime volunteering her skills to community and friends; also working with the Clinton First Responders. She had a deep love for her grandchildren, and much love for all children. She also loved her animals, from the baby pigs she helped deliver on the farm to the many lost animals that she would find a home. You’d never find Nita Moberg unwilling to help. Nita loved to dance, she was fun, she sang in the church and she would appreciate an occasional dark beer, too.

Nita passed away on Saturday, July 31, 2010; she had lived to reach the age of 63 years.

Nita leaves behind many who’ve experienced the power of her love. We will miss her song and beautiful smile. May her love shine brightly upon us as we remember her.

Juanita is survived by her husband William of Clinton; sons Michael (Dawn) Moberg of Kansas City, MO, Daniel (Michelle) Moberg of Clinton, MN and Jason (Michelle Whaley) Moberg of Clinton, MN; daughter Sarah Moberg of Cold Spring, MN; grandchildren: Samuel, Josie, Benjamin, Adam, Mishayla, Kelsey, Madison, Meg, Cathryn and Halle; Sisters: Ramona (Paul) Tellefson of Hawley, MN and Bette Weinman of Ortonville, MN; nephew Scott Weinman of San Francisco CA; aunt Emma (John) Folkens of Clinton, MN; Special Friend and Cousin Mary Weinman of Clinton, MN; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Nita is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Gerald; nephew Doug and numerous aunts and uncles.
