Joseph Stueve, Jr.

Joseph Stueve, Jr., age 55, of Dumont, MN, passed away on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at his residence.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, January 31, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Graceville, MN. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the church on Monday. Fr. Brian Oestreich will celebrate the Mass and inurnment will be at Graceville Consolidated Cemetery at a later date.

Joseph John Stueve, Jr. was born on March 15, 1966, in Graceville, MN, to Joe and Aggie (Roelke) Stueve, Sr. He attended school in Graceville and graduated with the Class of 1985.

Joe lived in Collis, MN, most of his life. He also lived in Sherman, TX, for a short time. Joe worked various jobs over the years. He was employed at Larson’s Oil in Wheaton, MN, for the past seven years.

Joe developed a love of hunting at a young age and was an avid bow hunter. Joe also enjoyed playing darts, having drinks with friends, going on motorcycle rides, and loved spending time with his family and numerous friends.

Joe was a proud Dad and Grandpa and a friend to many. He was a great cook and loved to spend time cooking for his kids. His smile and hugs will be forever missed.

Joseph is survived by his children: Joseph (Kaylee) Stueve of Moorhead, MN; Joshua Stueve of Morris, MN; Lillian Stueve of Sioux Falls, SD; and Allison Stueve of Graceville, MN; four grandchildren: Kinley Stueve, Houston Stueve, Walker Stueve, and Xavier Stueve; parents, Joe and Aggie Stueve of Fergus Falls, MN; siblings: Sara (Daryl) Kipp of Fergus Falls, MN; Dan Stueve of Fergus Falls, MN; and Heidi (Jon) Nygaard of Underwood, MN; dear friend and mother of his children, Melissa Stueve-Sherod of Graceville, MN; along with many loved nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Ernest and Lillian Stueve; and maternal grandparents, Henry and Agnes Roelke.
