Joseph Keller, 38, of Brookings, SD, formerly of Milbank, SD, passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, in Brookings, SD.
Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Mundwiler Funeral Home in Milbank. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. Pastor Thom Bowsher will officiate. Burial will be at a later date.
Joseph “Joe” James Keller was born on March 28, 1985, in Milbank, SD. He was the youngest of three children born to Timothy and Kay (Dahlgren) Keller. Joe was baptized at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Milbank. He grew up in Milbank and graduated from Milbank High School in 2003. After high school Joe attended Northern State University in Aberdeen for one year before returning to Milbank where he worked at the radio station and later Hardee’s. Joe moved to Brookings to be closer to friends. While in Brookings he worked at Daktronics and 3M. Most recently he was employed by Allied Universal as a security guard for Bel Brands USA. Joe was an avid gamer. He had quite the collection of various gaming systems and had an impressive gaming set up in his home. Joe always had deep thoughts and conversations to share with everyone. He left a lasting impression of love and kindness.
Joe will be forever loved and deeply missed by his father, Timothy “Tim” Keller, Sr. of Milbank, SD; sister, Holly (Chad) Folk of Milbank, SD; and three nephews: Andrew Folk, Evan Folk, and Isaac Folk, all of Milbank, SD. He is preceded in death by his mother, Kay Keller; brother, Timothy Keller, Jr.; and grandparents: Warren and Gladys Dahlgren; Mike and Iva Keller.
