Joseph "Joe" Buhl

Joseph “Joe” Buhl, age 65, passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2025, at United Hospital in St. Paul, MN, of complications following a massive stroke.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Mundwiler and Larson Funeral Home Chapel in Graceville, MN. A reciting of the Rosary will begin at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home on Saturday. Fr. Shawn Polman will officiate the service and inurnment will be at Graceville Consolidated Cemetery.

Joseph William Buhl was born on August 26, 1959, in St. Paul, MN, and was adopted from Catholic Charities by Robert, Sr. and Delores (Lesmeister) Buhl. He was to become their second son and third child in their family.

A happy and lovable child, Joe enjoyed being outdoors and had a love for all kinds of animals. He was able to hunt and fish with his father, including a fishing trip to Alaska.

Joe is survived by his sister, Mary Berg of Staples, MN; brother, Robert Buhl, Jr. of Clinton, MN; along with his biological children: Jacob Buhl, Genevieve “Jenny” Buhl, and James Buhl. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Robert, Sr. and Delores Buhl; and brother-in-law, Kenneth Arens.
