Isabella Piechowski

March 9, 1916 — March 13, 2009

Isabella Marcella Piechowski the daughter of Vincent Sr. and Katherine (Haanen) Piechowski was born March 9, 1916 on the family farm in Arthur Township, Traverse County. She was baptized and received all her sacraments at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Bell was the twelfth child of thirteen. She grew up on the family farm where her dad and brothers farmed. Bell helped out with the house work and some of the yard work. Bell lived on that farm for 74 years. When her brother Dutch died Bell moved into the apartments in Beardsley in 1990 were she lived until March 9, 1998 when she moved to the Grace Home until she was called home to her heavenly father.

Bell was a life long member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Beardsley. She was a CCW member

She liked playing cards, putting puzzles together, game shows on TV, playing bingo and other activities at the Grace Home. She loved to dance. She was noted for her enjoyment in keeping her home neat and tidy. Bell was a kind, caring, happy lady who will be missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by all her many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, John, Vincent Jr, Lawrence, Aloisius (Dutch), Cyril (Martin) and Adrian; sisters,

May Cuff, Christine Schwagerl, Nellie Allen, Marian Larson, Regina (Jean) Benolkin, and Katherine Gardner.
