Harvey Damerow

Harvey C. Damerow was born on February 06, 1921, in Bierman, ND, to parents George and Augusta (Fielhaber) Damerow. On May 16, 1937, Harvey was confirmed into the Lutheran Faith at the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Johnson, MN. He attended country school near Johnson, MN.
On March 27, 1949, Harvey married Norma Fuhrman at the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Johnson, MN. To this union four children were born, Charles, Kenneth, Roxanne and Rhonda. Harvey farmed near the Chokio and Johnson areas his entire life. In his spare time Harvey enjoyed checking in on the other local farmers to see how they were doing. Later in life, he enjoyed tending to his vegetable garden and loved to bird watch. Harvey cherished the time he spent traveling to see family in Arizona and California. He was best known for the stories he would tell.
Harvey C. Damerow passed away on Thursday, December 23, 2004 at the Holy Trinity Hospital in Graceville, MN.
Preceding Harvey in death were his parents, George and Augusta Damerow; two brothers, Melvin Damerow and Bernard Damerow; and one sister, Dorothy Kolling.
Survivors include his wife, Norma Damerow; two sons, Chuck (Jean) Damerow of Tucson, AZ and Ken Damerow of Corona, CA; two daughters, Roxanne (Pete) Fischer of Wheaton, MN, and Rhonda Damerow of St. Cloud, MN; five grandchildren, Valerie Damerow, Becky Cable, Sarah Damerow, Nicole Damerow, and Scott Powers; and three great-grandchildren, Robbie Cable, Harrison Cable and Rages Stockton and many nieces and nephews.
