Frances R. Peltier, the daughter of John and Mary ( Schindler) Reinart was born February 26, 1919 in Currie, MN. When she was thirteen years old her family moved to Barry, MN. She attended and graduated from St. Mary’s Academy in Graceville. Frances went on to St. Benedict in St. Cloud where she received her teaching degree.
Frances was united in marriage to Theodore Anderson February 18, 1942. He was a navigator on B24 during World War II and was killed while serving his term.. Frances returned to her parent’s home and taught in a one room county school house. She met and married Louis Peltier of Beardsley May 10, 1947. They made their home on a farm outside of Beardsley where they farmed for eight years. She continued teaching in country schools until their move to Colorado where she taught fifth grade in a Catholic school in Denver. When they both retired, moved to Cambridge, MN. and then to Graceville, MN. when Louis needed more care.
She was an excellent seamstress, doing mending for people and making quilts, and embroidery, making many dish towels. Frances loved visiting with her family and friends.
She is survived by her children, John (Pam) Peltier of Payson, AZ, Leo (Andrea) Peltier of Denver, CO, and Margaret (Mike) Miller of Brahm, MN; grandchildren, Wade and Matt Kimball, Zachery and Michael Peltier; 4 great-grandchildren, Zachary Jr. Lailna and Josiah Peltier; Louis Kimball, sisters, Genevive Kuhry of Graceville, Veronica Anderson of Graceville, MN; brother and sister in-laws, Leonard Marihart of Graceville, MN , Sstella Peltier of Stacy, MN; many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Louis Peltier and Ted Anderson; sisters, Agnes Brady, Betty Juelich, Sister Lionelle Reinart, Margaret Cota, Dorothy Marihart, Mary Griffin; brothers, John, Gerald and Leo Reinart.
