Faye Delores Mundy, daughter of Philip and Elsa (Klemm) Mundy, was born January 22, 1929 in Browns Valley, MN. She was baptized on April 7, 1929 and confirmed on July 26, 1942 at Zion Lutheran Church in Browns Valley, and both services were conducted by Reverend Engelhardt. Faye grew up and received her schooling in Browns Valley, and on October 29, 1949, she was united in marriage to Norris Roark. To this union, four children were born: Paulette, Floyd, Curtis and Galen. Following Norris' death on April 19, 1955, Faye remained in Browns Valley to raise her children. On November 14, 1956, she was married to Dale M. Klodt, and to this union, two children were born: Dale A. "George" and Pamela. The couple continued to live in Browns Valley and raise their family. After their children were grown, Faye spent several years working at the J House in Browns Valley. She was also a very active member of Zion Lutheran Church. Dale died on May 11, 1991, and Faye has remained in Browns Valley since that time.
Some of her favorite hobbies included gardening, canning, embroidery, cooking, enjoying music and working at the J House. Most of all, she loved to spend time surrounded by her entire family.
Faye died on Wednesday, April 2, 2008 at the Coteau des Prairies Hospital in Sisseton, SD, having lived to reach the age of 79 years.
She is survived by five children: Paulette (Richard) Dahl of Rice, Curtis (Carol) Roark of Eveleth, Galen (Connie) Roark of Rosholt, SD, Dale A. "George" (Marie) Klodt of Beardsley and Pamela (Brad) Bennett of Sauk Rapids; daughter-in-law: Carolyn Roark of Browns Valley; two brothers: Harley Mundy of Browns Valley and Kenneth Mundy of Killeen, TX; three sisters: Evelyn Stoffel of Browns Valley, Betty Jean Halverson of New Ulm and Lois Eastman of Wilmot; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husbands: Norris and Dale; her parents; her son: Floyd; one granddaughter, Christi Dahl; two sisters: Phyllis Anderson and Marion Drewelow and two brothers: Frank and Lenole Mundy.
