Eugene Bornhorst

Eugene Bornhorst, age 59, of Ortonville, MN, died on Thursday, November 10, 2016.

A prayer service will be held on Wednesday, November 16, 2016, at 10:30 a.m. at Mundwiler & Larson Funeral Home in Ortonville with Pastor Melanie Reiners officiating. A short visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m, a half hour prior to the time of service.

Eugene Arnold Bornhorst was born on January 30, 1957, in Montevideo, MN, to Valentine and Wava (Redman) Bornhorst. He was baptized in the Catholic faith and attended school in Clinton. Eugene graduated from Clinton high school and enjoyed playing football during his schooling. After high school, Eugene enlisted in the United States Air Force. He was discharged and later enlisted in the United States Navy.

Eugene lived in or near Ortonville for his entire life. He held various jobs including managing the Sun Rise Motel for 7 years, working for Curtis Arndt Plumbing until they went out of business, and most recently driving for Prairie Five. Eugene enjoyed riding his motorcycle and had a love for all animals, especially dogs.

Eugene is survived by his sisters: Kathy (Terry) Kneifl and Maggie Bornhorst. He was preceded in death by his parents.
