Elizabeth Ann Sanders was born on March 5, 1928 on the homestead farm near Clinton, MN to parents William and Alice (Hickson) Sanders. She grew up in the Clinton/Ortonville area. Elizabeth attended schools in Clinton and the West Central School of Agriculture in Morris, MN. She graduated in 1946.
Elizabeth was united in marriage to Edgar E. Swezey on October 16, 1948. To this union, three children were born: Sharon, Roxanne and Wade. They made their home in Ortonville. Elizabeth worked as a certified nursing assistant at Northridge Residence in Ortonville. She enjoyed putting puzzles together, sketching and spending time with her family and friends.
Elizabeth died on Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at Northridge Residence in Ortonville, MN. She had lived to reach the age of 82 years.
Elizabeth is survived by her children: Sharon (James) Howe of Miles City, MT, Roxanne Swezey of Bloomington, MN, Wade (Bonnie) Swezey of Ortonville, MN; grandchildren: Guy (Andrea) Block of Milan, MN, Echo (CJ) Gaskill of Volborg, MT, Travis (Becky) Swezey of Summit, SD, Heath Swezey of Watertown, SD, Amanda (Brad Gabrielson) Swezey of Ortonville, MN, Lance Swezey of Ortonville, MN; great-grandchildren: Sophia and Leila Block, Farrah and Chas Gaskill, Cody Swezey, Levi Gaberilson, Averi Swezey and Molli Gaberilson; sister Gwen (Jay) Cravens of Milwaukee; sister-in-law Betty Jean Sanders of Perham, MN.
Elizabeth is preceded in death by her husband; parents; one sister and one brother.
