Elizabeth "Betty" Schrom was born on June 07, 1941, to parents Raymond and Grace (Hayes) Schrom in Princeton, MN. Betty loved to learn and following her graduation from high school, she attended St. Scholastica graduating and then attending Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. During her time at Temple, Betty attained one BA, and two masters.
After college, Betty joined the Peace Corps and spent two years in Turkey. She then returned to the Philadelphia where she taught grade school and also served as a librarian in Laurel, DE. Betty loved to travel and be exposed to different cultures. With a BA in Russian, she enjoyed the time she took a trip to Europe and visited Russia, and in her spare time, Betty translated Russian fairy tales to English. Betty also enjoyed attending the symphony and ballet while living on the East coast as well.
Betty passed away on Tuesday, September 06, 2005 at the Northridge Residence in Ortonville, MN. She is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Grace.
She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Donna and James McCormick as well as a host of family and friends.
