Edith Lila Derr, the daughter of David and Gerterude (Breitung) Derr, was born August 5, 1912 in Revillo, SD. She attended and graduated from Revillo High School.
Edith was united in marriage to Marvin Paulson on May 8, 1935, at the Revillo Evangelical EUB Church. They made their home on a farm near Waseca. She worked at Birds Eye Canning Factory in Waseca, MN, for 27 years. They moved to Revillo, Marvin died in August of 1988.
She met Harry Quast of Waseca and was united in marriage in April 1990, at the Tabor United Methodist Church in Big Stone City, SD. They made their home in Waseca, where Harry had been living. Harry and Edith moved back to Ortonville where they have been living the past few years
Edith enjoyed the outdoors, tending to her flowers and vegetable garden. She loved her family and friends and will be missed dearly by them.
She is survived by her husband, Harry of Ortonville, MN; two step-sons, George (Janet) Day of Cushing, MN; Lowell (Berene) Day of West Australia; step-daughter, Joan (Charles) Sebers of Pompono Beach, FL; many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Marvin; step-daughter, Virginia Bock; four sisters, Pearl Nelson, Amy Tucholhe, Laura Mogard, and Ethel Derr; two brothers, Richard Derr and Elton Derr.
