Duane DeVaal

Duane DeVaal passed away on January 16, 2022 in Omaha, Nebraska. A private burial will be held in the spring at Mound Cemetery.

Duane Elmo DeVaal was born on January 17, 1947, in Ortonville, MN to Cornelius and Cora (Berg) DeVaal. After graduating from Ortonville High School he went on to receive a BA from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN.

Duane moved to Minneapolis where he worked for Hennepin County. In 2015, Duane retired and moved to Omaha, NE. He enjoyed fishing and playing cards, especially bridge.

Duane is survived by his sister Cheryl DeVaal of St. Louis Park, MN; uncle Stanley (Muriel) DeVaal and many cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Leigh DeVaal.
