Dorothy Ann (Billiet) Kleindl was born September 7th, 1922 in rural Graceville, to Frank and Sarah (Myers) Billiet. She was baptized and confirmed at Holy Rosary Church in Graceville.

Dorothy attended school at District 11 in Parnell Township for eight years and completed high school at Graceville Public School. Upon graduation in 1940, she remained at home to help her Father with the farming, as her brothers were entering the Service of their Country.

On January 23, 1946, she was united in marriage to Clarence Kleindl at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. To this union six children, Mary, Patricia, William, Monica, Gerard and Alan were born. They lived on a farm near Barry until 1998, when they moved to Graceville. In December 2003, Dorothy moved to Grace Home in Graceville where she resided until her death.

Dorothy was a very loving, caring and devoted Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. She loved seeing and hugging her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She always smiled when seeing and hearing young children.

Dorothy was active in the community and her church of St. Barnabas in Barry. She was President of the Altar and Rosary Society, Secretary and Treasurer, Minister of the Eucharist and Sacristan for several years. Dorothy delivered the Eucharist to the homebound, served as a catechism teacher for St. Barnabas and Holy Rosary parishes and served on the Education and Family Life Committee at Holy Rosary. Dorothy was the Treasurer of the Toqua Township Fund for 25 years and served as a Toqua Township election judge for many years.

Dorothy was a promoter of the Miraculous Medal Association. She had very deep devotions to Our Blessed Lady and to St. Jude who appeared and healed her during her life by coming to her bedside during an illness. St. Theresa was another of Dorothy's favorite Saints, and said she always answered her prayers.

Dorothy's favorite hobby was flower gardening. She had many beds of flowers and plants on the farm. Dorothy continued her love of gardening when they moved to Graceville by starting a few new flower beds at her home. You could often find her weeding and watering when the weather was nice. Dorothy also loved to can, bake pies, cakes, and desserts and enjoyed listening to the Twins baseball games.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband Clarence; parents Frank and Sarah; and two brothers Luke and Raymond.

Dorothy is survived by her children: Mary (Gene) Sanasack of Graceville, MN, Patricia Kleindl of St. Cloud, MN, William (Shelly) Kleindl of Graceville, MN, Monica (Jim) Watkins of Alexandria, MN, Gerard Kleindl of Hutchinson, MN and Alan Kleindl of Graceville, MN; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren; one sister Rita (Dean) Schuster and one brother Tony (Claris) Billiet.
