Donald "Dick" Tritz, age 97, of Graceville, MN, passed away on June 28, 2022.
Visitation for Dick will be held on Thursday, June 30, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Mundwiler and Larson Funeral Home in Graceville. Dick will be cremated and a Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, July 5, at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Graceville. Visitation will be one hour prior to the Mass. Burial will be at Consolidated Cemetery.
Donald “Dick” John Tritz was born on December 16, 1924, at the family home near Dumont, MN. He was the son of Sylvester and Pauline (Joanning) Tritz. Dick grew up in the Dumont area and attended school in Dumont. He worked on the family farm before he was drafted into the United States Army on November 29, 1944.
Following his honorable discharge on August 23, 1946, Dick returned to the Dumont area. Dick was a dedicated and passionate farmer. He was tough, fair, loving, and honest with his family and friends. He loved to visit and always had time to “catch up on things.” He enjoyed his time on the lake and loved to fish. He was a life member of the American Legion.
Dick was united in marriage with Donna Marie Ritter on November 4, 1970. They enjoyed spending their winters in Texas and summers in Battle Lake, MN, and always enjoyed returning to Graceville to see family and friends. They enjoyed many trips to Mexico as well as many other travel adventures. While living in Texas, Dick loved to grow roses and would boast on how beautiful his rose bushes were.
Left to cherish his memory are two brothers: Milo (Joanne) Tritz of Dumont, MN; and Gordon (Barbara) Tritz; nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and many dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Donna; two brothers and three sisters.
