Donald McDonald

Donald McDonald, age 47, of Ortonville, MN, formerly of Duluth, MN, passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2024, at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Donald Thomas McDonald was born on December 18, 1977, in Farmington, MN. He was the son of Thomas Michael Stevens and Patricia Ann McDonald. He was baptized at All Saints Catholic Church in Lakeville, MN. Don lived in various communities in Minnesota, including Lakeville, Burnsville, Eden Prairie, Ortonville, and Duluth. He held several different jobs throughout his life and was a PCA (personal care attendant) for the past ten years until his own health problems started. Donnie enjoyed fishing, hanging out with his friends, cruising up the North Shore, Seven Bridges, and other places in Duluth. He spent the past 15 years of his life in the Duluth area. He also enjoyed gaming, movie nights, and other events on his computer with all his virtual friends.

Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Patricia McDonald of Ortonville, MN; half-sister, Kim (Bud) Griffin of Babbit, MN; and their children: Tanner and Maddie; half-brother, Sam Stevens of Savage, MN, and his son, Lawson; his grandfather, Donald McDonald of Rosemont, MN; two aunts, two uncles, and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Michael Stevens; grandmother, Shirley Mae McDonald; uncle, Jerry McDonald; cousins: Michelle McDonald and Justin McDonald; uncles-in-law: William Hoffbeck and Kevin Flaig.
