Dennis Gene Block was born on July 20, 1941 in Ortonville, MN to parents Raymond and Florence Block. Throughout his life, Dennis was always straight with people and was never afraid to say how he felt about someone. He worked as a over the road trucker and as a mechanic. His love of mechanics was exemplified in that he would occasionally talk to whatever he was working on.
In his free time, Dennis enjoyed hunting and fishing when he could. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle, even picking up his wife, Debora, for their first date on his motorcycle. They were married six months later on August 6, 2002. Dennis also liked to cook and read mysteries. Dennis was an active member of both the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Moose Lodge. He dearly loved his children and grandchildren and relished spending time with them.
Dennis passed away Friday, March 2, 2007 at the Holy Trinity Hospital in Graceville, MN. He is preceded in death by his father, Raymond; mother, Florence; step-father, Vern Dame; and wife, Mary.
Dennis is survived by his wife, Debora; his children, Mark and Tina, children of Mary; Guy and Echo, children of Sharon. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Ethan, Eli, Eldon, Sophia, Tyler, Daisey, Cindy, and Audrey; and many more extended family and those who called him their friend.
