David Leo Reinart was born on August 24, 1953 to Leo and Philomena (Diekmann) Reinart in Graceville, MN. David was baptized in the hospital in Graceville. He attended school in Browns Valley, MN, graduating high school with the class of 1972.
In 1978, David began delivering the Watertown Public Opinion daily to residents of Browns Valley. He was always on time with deliveries; you could have set a watch to him. He retired from the paper route in 2001 when he began working at Broadway Industries in Wheaton, MN.
David enjoyed trapping gophers, and he was a collector: a few were pipes, dominoes, rocks, and string, which he formed into a ball. He also liked to watch videos, play cards and video games, especially PacMan. David was passionate about the Ronald McDonald House Charities and would collect many pop tops for the cause.
Family was very important to David. His siblings and nieces and nephews were a big part of him. He was very proud of them and would never forget any dates, whether it be birthdays or anniversaries. Two years ago, his great-niece Carlee was even born on his birthday! David was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Browns Valley, where he enjoyed ushering; he was also a member of the Knights of Columbus.
David died on November 18, 2009 in Browns Valley, MN having lived to reach the age of 56 years.
David is survived by his siblings: Joe (Arlene) Reinart, Jim (Lynette) Reinart, Marlene (Bill) Appel, Leona (Doug) Kaelin, Bonnie (Randy) Huckeby, Gerald (Dianne) Reinart, Carol (Todd) Ziemer, Greg (Kathy) Reinart, Mary (Jeff) Long, many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great nephews and many friends.
David is preceded in death by his parents Leo “Tex” and Phil Reinart and one sister Diane Roark.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Ronald McDonald House and Broadway Industries.
