Dale Krier, age 79, of rural Odessa, MN, passed away on February 6, 2023, at Fairway View Neighborhoods in Ortonville, MN.
Funeral services will be held at a later date.
Dale Glen Krier was born on February 4, 1944, in Minnesota. He was the son of Glen and Ruby (Thymian) Krier. Dale grew up on the family farm in the rural Odessa area. He was baptized and confirmed at Grace Lutheran Church in Correll, MN. Dale attended school in Odessa and graduated from high school there.
Dale proudly served in the National Guard (Appleton). Following his service, he returned to the family farm. He was united in marriage with Mary Rodengen on January 25, 1972, in Correll.
Dale and Mary were blessed with three children: Chad, Jason, and Katie. Dale worked for a time as a mechanic and body man in Appleton, but his life-long career was in farming. He enjoyed working on cars and cycles. He also enjoyed snowmobiling when he was younger. He remained on the family farm until ill health forced his move into Fairway View Neighborhoods.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 51 years, Mary; his children: Jason Krier (Jess Omundson) of Chokio, MN; and Katie Krier (Nick Strand) of Odessa, MN; five grandchildren: Ashley, Calvin, Collin, Dylan, and Quentin; two sisters: Diane (Gordon) Lindquist of Ortonville, MN; and Lynette VanRaden of New Mexico, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents: Glen and Ruby; his son, Chad; and brother-in-law, Steve VanRaden.
