Catherine Keating

Catherine Keating, age 97, of Graceville who died Sunday, October 5, 2014, at the Grace Home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, October 9, 2014, at 11 a.m. at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Father David Breu will celebrate the Mass and burial will be in the Graceville Consolidated Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 5-7 p.m. at Mundwiler & Larson Funeral Home in Graceville. Visitation will continue for one hour prior to the time of service at the church on Thursday.

Catherine Mary Keating was born on July 17, 1917, in Browns Valley to Frank and Mary (Miller) Dougherty. She graduated from Browns Valley High School. On April 11, 1953, Catherine was united in marriage to Ralph Keating in Browns Valley.

Catherine and Ralph spent fifteen years of their marriage operating a mink ranch and fur business. Afterwards, they began buying and selling antiques. They spent many winters in Arizona, bringing their antique business along with them. Catherine was a very social and positive person. She was especially proud of her Irish ancestry. Many years of her life was spent as a caregiver for her siblings, father, children, and husband. Catherine was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Graceville.

Catherine died on October 5, 2014, at Grace Home in Graceville having reached the age of 97.

Catherine is survived by her children: Mary (Darwin) Witzel of North Oaks, MN; Anna Keating (Leonard Partridge) of Glendale, AZ; and Pat Keating of Graceville; grandchildren: Adam Witzel and Lea Witzel, both of North Oaks, MN; Molly Partridge and Alex Partridge, both of Glendale, AZ; and by many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ralph; siblings: Frank, Charles, William, Fabian, Patrick, Clement, and Catherine.
