Barbara Lee

Barbara A. Lee the daughter of Carl and Verna (Rohde) Drovdal was born July 31, 1939 in Webster, S.D. Barb grew up in Summit, S.D. She attended and graduated from Summit High School. Barb was united in marriage to Lyle Lee on May 25, 1968. They made their home on a farm rural Ortonville, MN. After Lyle’s death, July 18, 1985, she remained on the farm until 1990 when she moved into Ortonville, MN.



Barb enjoyed crocheting, her houseplants, gardening, cooking, baking and dancing. She loved people and loved socializing; her friends were very special to her. Barb and Clarence Johnson enjoyed traveling to Florida, Texas, and Breezy Point, MN. Barb will be sadly missed by her family and friends.



Barbara died Monday, March 23, 2009, at the Ortonville Area Health Services having lived to reach the age of 69 years.



She is survived by special friend, Clarence Johnson; her children, Mark Lee of Ortonville, Mike (Susan) Lee of Ortonville, Michele (Steven) Brotzel of Big Stone City, S.D; 9 grandchildren, Joshua Lee, Christopher Lee, Andrew (Alicia) Lee, Jennifer Lee; Nicholas (Machaela Cavanaugh) Brotzel, Melissa Brotzel, Natasha Brotzel; Michael Lee and Ana Lee; Great Grandson, Carter Lee; brother, Allen Drovdal of Florence, S.D; sister, Kathy (Kenyon) Jorgenson of Waubay, S.D.



She is preceded in death by husband, Lyle; parents, Carl and Verna; 1 great-grandson, Hunter Lee.
