Austin Swenson, age 21, passed away of leukemia on Sunday, February 7, 2021, at his home near Chokio, MN.

A gathering of friends and family will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2021, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Mundwiler and Larson Funeral Home in Ortonville. Inurnment will be at Artichoke Baptist Church Cemetery at a later date.

Austin Jerald Swenson was born on April 27, 1999, in Morris, MN, to Russell and Theresa (Banken) Swenson. He was baptized at First Baptist Church in Forsyth, MT, and was a member of Artichoke Baptist Church. Austin was most recently a member of New Life Baptist Church in Ortonville.

Austin lived in the Chokio area for most of his life. He graduated homeschool in 2016 and attended North Dakota State College of Science in Wahpeton, ND, graduating in 2019 with his degree in Electrical Technology. Austin worked as a repair technician at Midwest Irrigation and Electric in Big Stone City from 2015 to 2019. He later worked as an electrical technician at Johnson Power Services in West Fargo from 2019 to 2020.

Left to cherish his memory are his parents: Russell and Theresa Swenson of Chokio, MN; siblings: Alisha Swenson of Donnelly, MN; Jonathan Swenson of Alexandria, MN; Michelle Swenson of Chokio, MN; Demetri Swenson of Chokio, MN; Nikolai Swenson of Chokio, MN; and Nevaeh Swenson of Chokio, MN; maternal grandparents: Mike (Carol) Banken of South Haven, MN; paternal grandmother, Dianne Swenson of Browns Valley, MN; great-grandmother, Loraine Nolting of Waconia, MN; along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Austin was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Robert Swenson.
