Ann Veloris Vaage, the daughter of Daniel and Vendela (Bergman) Danielson was born October 9, 1927 in Artichoke Township. She was baptized by Pastor J. Leland and confirmed in 1941 by Pastor Clifford Johnson both at Eidskog Lutheran Church. She attended Oak Grove Seminary Lutheran High School graduating in 1945. After high school she attended Interstate Business College in Fargo, North Dakota, graduating in 1946.
Ann was united in marriage to Gale Haukos October 9, 1948, and made their home in Artichoke Township where they farmed. They were blessed with five children. Gale passed away October 1, 1970. Ann married Raymond Vaage March 24, 1973. They made their home in Artichoke Township. Raymond passed away in August, 1999.
She enjoyed gardening, helping outdoors with errands and chores, cooking and baking and serving her church organizations. She was a lifelong member of Eidskog Lutheran Church and was truly one of the faithful members of the congregation and ladies groups. She loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and was excited to have them visit her. Her faith and love for her church are shining examples for her family and others.
Survivors include her children: Larry (Kathy) Haukos of Correll, MN; Gerald (Marilee) Haukos of Ortonville, MN; Roger (Patty) Haukos of Ortonville, MN; Bonnie Barber of Coeur D Alene, ID; 12 grandchildren: Josh Haukos; Shala (Anthony) Korstjens; Caleb (Sarah) Haukos; Stephanie Haukos (special friend, Garrett Novy); Bryan (Rhonda) Haukos; Kevin Haukos; Amy (Jeff) Athey; Garth (Tracie) Haukos; Cody Haukos; Casey Haukos; Lindsey Barber; Katie Barber; great-grandchildren: Samantha Henkle; Brianna and Bret Korstjens; Payten Haukos; Hunter and Carter Athey; Nathan Haukos; Emily and Jackson Fryer and Isabelle Haukos. In-laws: Helen Breden; Donna Danielson; Selma and Vernon Ness; Mary Haukos; Addie Hanson; Eileen Adolphson; numerous nieces and nephews and many, many relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by parents, Daniel and Vendela Danielson; husbands, Gale Haukos and Raymond Vaage; son Mark; and brothers, Harold and LeRoy Danielson.
