Allan Lee Mueller Sr., age 68 of Ortonville, MN. died Saturday, January 29, 2011 at the Golden Living Center in Milbank, S.D.
Funeral services are 11 A.M.Wednesday, February 2, 2011 Trinity Lutheran Church in Ortonville, MN. Visitation is 5 - 7 P. M. with a 7 P.M. prayer service at the Larson Funeral HOme in Ortonville, MN.Burial will be in the Mound Cemetery.
Allan Lee Mueller Sr., the son of Walter and Geraldine (Holmquist) Mueller was born June 6, 1942 in Milbank, South Dakota. He was baptized, July 12, 1942, at Bethel Lutheran Church in Marvin, South Dakota and confirmed March 25, 1956, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Ortonville, Minnesota. He lived in Iowa, Marvin, South Dakota and Big Stone City, South Dakota. Allan graduated from Big Stone High School May 18, 1960. Allan was an honorary member of the USAF Air Defense Team.
Allan was united in marriage to Dianna Mae Pederson September 30, 1961 at the residence of Julius and Mary Pederson. They made their home in Ortonville and Bellingham. Allan was employed at Archer Daniels Midland Flax Straw for ten years, managed the Bellingham Liquor Store for two years, worked at Sequoya Granite as a forman until he was injured in 1984 working there five years.
Allan enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing, gardening, and playing cards. Allan loved working on his tractors and loved his dogs. He looked forward to all family gatherings.
Allan is survived by his wife, Dianna of Ortonville; children, Patty (Richard) Gose of Alexandria, MN, Scott (Suzy) Mueller of Milbank, S.D, Becky ( David) Poe of Corpus Christi, TX, Kevin (Angel) Mueller of Milbank, S.D, Allan Mueller Jr. (fiance Peggy Russman) of Milbank, S.D, Brenda (Jim) Haugen of Ortonville, MN, Mark (Sarah) Mueller of Milbank, S.D; 18 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers, Sharon Anderson of Willmar, MN, Carolyn Daigle of Duluth, MN, Arlys Schiesser of Ortonville, MN, Julie Macziewski of Montevideo, MN, Lorrie Hagge of Iowa, Debbie Gartner of Golden Valley, MN; Dennis Mueller of Milbank, S.D, Lynda Ruschen of Kerkhoven, MN, Hjalmer Halvorson of Big Stone City, S.D. Mike Halvorson of Ortonville, MN.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Geraldine and Walter; brother Darwin
